Need to find furniture right away? There's always the convenience of Target, Wal-Mart, and K-Mart. IKEA is also a paradise for furniture shoppers on a budget who need to find basically everything that can go into an apartment. Regardless of a shopper's opinion of large retail chains, these stores do offer good quality items for a price that can be considered a steal compared to other places.
Go for Secondhand Items
Thrift stores, consignment shops, flea markets, and tag sales are a few places to find home furnishings at a low price. Feel weird about buying somebody else's stuff when you have no idea where it's been? Get furniture from family and friends who don't want it anymore (and because they love you, they may even give it to you for free).
