It’s important to stimulate a child’s creativity as much as possible when they are growing up. One way is to decorate their room using color schemes that are known to help with creativity.
Blues and Yellow Paint Color Scheme
There is a reason blues and yellows are such a common choice of color scheme for children. Yellow is a joyful, happy and optimistic color. Blue is calming color that helps the mind to focus and improves memory. Both colors are also very good at promoting mental creativity.
When choosing what shade of yellows and blues to paint a room, it’s best to avoid pale yellows and dark blues. Pale yellows can look faded and tired and dark blues are associated with depression.

The best paints to use when painting a children’s room would be eco friendly paints that are free from Volatile Organic Compounds. These VOCs not only damage the environment but have been proven to cause headaches, irritation to the eyes and even flu like symptoms. There is also evidence to suggest that there may be a link between VOCs and cancer.
VOC-free paints are more expensive but are readily available from both large retailers and smaller online suppliers who specialise in eco friendly home improvement products.
